SENSE-0 is a product that generates an atypical sensory environment.

The eyes and ears lead the perceptual experience of the human being. SENSE-0 alters these typical navigational abilities. The project seeks to reflect on the value of hearing and sight as primary senses, and proposes a new tool.

Sense-0 consists of 4 ultrasonic sensors and 12 microvibrators. arranged in a polar matrix around the head. ultrasonic sensors percieve distances. This information is encoded and transcribed in the form of vibrations, generating a feeling of touch against the head. in this way, the user can navigate their environment guided by the vibrations. These have three “modes”: soft, firm, and strong. the distance and position of the objects determines the intensity of the vibration and the activation of the components. If an object is near and behind, the microvibrators behind the head will activate producing a firm vibration.
